Privacy policy

This site (chetanpro.blog) is a personal blog run by me, Chetan Sharma. You can read everything on it without an account. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, and by whom.

What I collect directly

Only what you send me through the contact form: your name, email address, message, and phone number if you choose to add one. The form is delivered by Formspree and protected from spam by Google reCAPTCHA. I use these details only to reply to you, and I don't sell or share them.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser, and the pages you visit. I only see this in aggregate and can't identify you from it.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other websites.
• Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors' personalised ads at aboutads.info.

Cookies

The cookies on this site come from the Google services above (Analytics, AdSense and reCAPTCHA). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the notes will still work.

Links and downloads

Many notes link to files on Google Drive and to other websites. Those services have their own privacy policies, which I don't control.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Children

The site is meant for diploma students and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you've sent me a message and want it deleted, or have any question about this policy, email chetan.jsdev@gmail.com or use the contact form.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
